This is the opening event of the Mountain Rain Zen Community's Annual Fall Practice Period, as well as the first event of the weekend retreat, An Undivided Life.

The evening's schedule will consist of two periods of zazen followed by a ceremony in which Kanshin Ruth Ozeki will be invited to serve as shusō for the 2014 practice period. At the close of the ceremony each person will be invited to share his/her intentions for the practice period.
